Project
description
Renovation of this historic wood structure in downtown
Chicago created the need for protection of the vertical opening or
shaft
between the first and second floors of the store. Although it is only
a 2-story structure, it's not sprinkled and doesn't have a building
fire alarm so both ends of the stairway were required to be enclosed.
Won-Door FireGuard™ doors, visible only in an emergency situation,
were used preserving the aethestics and ambiance of the store desired
by
the architect and owner. |
