William H. Lincoln school hallway

PROJECT: William H. Lincoln School, Brookline, Massachusetts
ARCHITECT: Graham Gund Associates, Inc.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: CorJen Construction
TYPE OF APPLICATION: Smoke and draft control in an educational facility

Project description
In the past, traditional swing fire doors were almost always used to divide otherwise ubobstructed corridors in order to meet code requirements in schools. Spanning the wide corridors can now be easily accomplished with the Won-Door FireGuard™ door assembly which stacks out of sight in wall pockets when not in use. Unobstructed corridors mean a free flow of students; no visible doors mean decreased maintenance costs.
