Job Summary

Won-Door Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of accordion type fire and security doors, is expanding and needs a Journeyman Carpenter in your area. Job requires assembling accordion door kits as well as knowledge of proper use of hand tools and safety measures. This could be an exciting and rewarding career change for the right candidate.

Eligible candidates will receive full factory training, to start, and then annual factory training updates. Training will cover installation, maintenance and service of our product line. Upon completion of factory training, candidate will receive all necessary tools: a cell phone, an iPad and all materials to complete installations. This position comes with full Union benefits.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel in your geographic area
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed)
• Current driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Per-employment drug screening
• Journeyman construction knowledge and experience
• Capacity to lift 50-75 pounds
• Ability to work overhead on ladders
• Aptitude to solve basic mechanical and electrical problems
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Willingness to coordinate with contractors and follow tight work schedules
• Strong communication skills, for coordinating with superintendents and other trades
• Commitment to quality assurance and maintaining company standards
